In a candid interview with Vlad, rapper Jap5 revealed how his murder case took a surprising turn just days before trial. Facing double life sentences over a homicide charge, Jap5 was ready for court, fully prepared in a tuxedo for jury selection. However, the prosecution’s case weakened, leading to an unexpected plea deal offer: seven years instead of life. With about two and a half years already served, Jap5 didn’t hesitate. “I grabbed that pen and signed quick,” he said, relieved to secure a chance to return home to his daughters before turning 30. Despite the gravity of the charges and heavy opposition from state prosecutors, Jap5 maintained faith in God throughout the ordeal. “I was blessed and humbled… to know that I had a secure day, that I was going to make it back home to my family,” he reflected.
