Boosie has been confined to a wheelchair since getting shot in the leg during a visit to Dallas this past November. The shooting incident left the rapper requiring multiple surgeries, where doctors removed bullet fragments and placed screws in his foot so that it could heal correctly.

Since getting shot, Boosie has provided updates on his recovery. On Monday, he gave his latest update as he took his first steps while on Instagram Live. At the beginning of the clip, he's seen announcing that he's going to try and take his first steps before requesting assistance. After being helped out of his wheelchair, Boosie was able to take a few steps on his own before asking for his wheelchair.

Despite the noticeable limp, Boosie expressed excitement in his progress by saying, "You saw me do my s***, yeah b****! Yeah, it's up!"

With a smile on his face, he announced throughout the rest of the house that he took his first steps before demonstrating his progress to the rest of his visitors. Boosie was clearly winded from the minor walk and expressed his desire to get back in shape.

"Man that little walk got me tired already, man," Boosie said. "I gotta get my training, I'm out of shape. It's because I've been sitting up for two months in that bed, I'm out of shape...that s*** got me feeling like I ran in front of police."

Boosie was shot in Dallas while attending a vigil that was paying tribute to the late Mo3. Boosie was struck in the leg after shots were fired. Since the incident, Boosie has continued to make progress during his recovery and has addressed the shooting in recent songs.
