There's no doubt that Andy Ruiz Jr. is currently on top of the world, as after becoming the first Mexican heavyweight champion in boxing history following one of the most shocking upsets the sport has ever seen, he's become a fan favorite for his likable personality and underdog story that's now made him a household name.

Sure enough, the champ has a rematch with Anthony Joshua scheduled for sometime this Winter, and has now gone on record to confirm that he's ultimately aiming for Deontay Wilder. All the same, Ruiz was wise enough to not look past his unfinished business with Joshua, who suffered his first loss in his American debut for what some speculated was derived from the 'Drake curse.'

For those unfamiliar, Joshua had taken a photo with the 6 God prior to his unprecedented defeat, which then prompted the narrative of the curse which Ruiz was recently asked about in Los Angeles. "You think you can break the Drake curse?" a reporter asked Ruiz, to which he swiftly replied "don't even bring Drake around me" to a thunderous applause.

As for the potential match between Ruiz vs Wilder, it should be noted that The Bronze Bomber recently praised Ruiz, saying after the upset that "you’ve been blessed to come out of the struggle and to become the 1st Mexican Heavyweight Champion Ever! P.S It’s all up to you in what you do with this huge opportunity."
