The fight that went down between Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr. found Ruiz pulling off a major upset against Joshua. Many said Joshua fell victim to the “Drake Curse,” but that hasn’t stopped both parties from reportedly putting together a rematch that is set to go down sometime in Winter 2019.
Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn took to Twitter and revealed the situation, saying “After meetings with AJ, Rob McCracken and the management team in NY, we have today triggered the contracted rematch clause with Andy Ruiz Jr. The fight will take place in Nov/Dec at a venue to be confirmed shortly."
