DMX is currently on probation for his tax evasion case. The Yonkers native was placed under house arrest in August 2017 after testing positive for cocaine while out on bail. X has since been to rehab and gained a considerable amount of weight as it was believed he was staying clean and living healthy.
Unfortunately, DMX was taken into custody this morning (January 30) after testing positive for opioids, oxycodone, and cocaine. The judge of the Manhattan court ruled the rapper a flight risk and said that the rapper told a "great big lie" when agreeing to the terms of his bail. He was recently given the privilege to travel to perform at a smaller number of shows.
TMZ is reporting that the prosecution used the video of X at the airport bar in St. Louis we evidence he was violating his probation by drinking.
DMX's attorney, Murray Richman said "I'm saddened and disappointed. We'll have to deal with it accordingly." His team is moving to try to get him back into a rehab program, DMX has had a long history of addiction. He is scheduled to be sentenced in March.
