Comedian and Philly native Kevin Hart have joined the long list of celebrities, and public figures who are speaking out against the harsh sentencing Meek Mill has received for violating his probation. Jay-Z and Van Jones have most notably highlighted how severe the punishment has been for a man who has been on probation since the age of 19, whose current infractions include popping a wheelie, going to rehab, and breaking up an airport fight

In a video posted to his social media, Hart gave his take.

"Happy Saturday people. I'm just taking a second to speak on my friend Meek Mill's situation and try to bring as much attention to it as I possibly can, asking you guys to go visit JusticeforMeek.com. Sign the petition and really try to get this sentence revaluated," he said. "I mean look, it's just not fair. The guy's not perfect. He's done somethings in his past life, but he's been on probation for a large portion of that life. The sentencing that he's getting is stupid. As many times as the District Attorney and the probation offer have said, 'This man does not deserve to go to jail. Do not send this guy to jail, the judge still does it,' it's personal," asserted Hart.

He then continued in his video to call out the judge for her alleged unprofessional relationship with Meek, having asked him to remix a Boyz II Men song and to sign with her friend's management team. He ended the video, once again asking people to sign the petition.
