Part 8: Nicholas Irving: Claims Iran Is Broke Are Just More Propaganda
Part 1: Nicholas Irving on His Book Reaper Revelations Exposes Governments in Human Trafficking
--------
Former Army Ranger sniper Nicholas Irving joins Shawn Prez for a frank discussion on modern war, U.S. foreign policy, and the myth of fighting “for freedom.” Irving breaks down why controlling the Strait of Hormuz, confronting Iran, and battling groups like the Houthis is far more complicated than destroying a navy, drawing from his experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan. The conversation revisits weapons of mass destruction claims under George W. Bush, Saddam Hussein, Vietnam’s 58,220 American deaths, Trump’s hardline rhetoric, oil politics involving Venezuela, and questions around Jared Kushner’s Middle East business ties.
Irving argues that today’s wars are driven by profit, politics, confusion, and personal survival—not patriotic slogans. He also explains why elite military culture, from Rangers to SEAL Team Six and Delta Force, is fueled by ego, ambition, and loyalty to the person beside you rather than abstract ideas of America.
