Part 2: Dale Comstock on Becoming Youngest Person Ever to Join Delta Force
Part 1: Delta Force's Dale Comstock: I Hypnotized Myself at 15 Years Old to Be Better, and It Works
--------
Former Delta Force operator Dale Comstock joins Vlad to break down his early days in the elite unit, serving as a team breacher and preparing for his first major mission in Panama. Comstock discusses how U.S. forces viewed Manuel Noriega, the unelected Panamanian strongman accused of drug trafficking, intimidation, torture, and controlling the government through fear. He explains the months of training that led up to the operation, the threats facing Americans in Panama, and the strategic importance of the Panama Canal. The conversation also connects Noriega’s rule to broader discussions about dictatorships, Saddam Hussein, Iran, China’s influence, and U.S. military intervention. Comstock details the mindset behind entering dangerous targets first and the mission context surrounding the rescue of an American from a Panama prison with 120 shooters involved.
