In this VladTV interview, Rex Holloway reflects on the choices that led him from a troubled Texas adolescence into prison at 17. Holloway describes dropping out of school, living in a “weed house,” selling marijuana and LSD, and getting drawn into robberies around Houston, East Houston, and Missouri City during the early ’90s. He recalls how a late-night gas station robbery with shotguns unraveled when police pulled the crew over with guns and cash hidden in the trunk. Arrested on September 25, 1995, Holloway was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and ultimately took a 10-year plea. He also discusses Texas law changes during the crack epidemic and “super predator” era that made him ineligible for boot camp because a deadly weapon was involved.
