Holloway reflects on growing up in a two-parent home, attending gifted classes and private school, then drifting into crime as a teenager in the early 1990s. He details how shoplifting escalated into car break-ins and daytime house burglaries, often targeting guns during the crack epidemic because they could be quickly sold.
Holloway also recounts the dangers of home invasions in Texas, including one incident where he surprised a sleeping homeowner and fled. In another burglary, he cut his arm breaking through a back door, stole firearms, and ran through the woods as the sheriff’s department tracked him with police dogs.
