Part 1: Mafia Hitman Gregory Scarpa Jr: I Would've Done a Hit on My Dad if I Knew He Was Snitching
--------
In a recent interview, Gregory Scarpa Jr. discussed being sentenced to an additional 40 years in prison, on top of the 20 years he was already serving for racketeering and conspiracy charges. The lengthy sentence stemmed from convictions related to four murder conspiracies. Initially indicted for 13 murders, Scarpa explained that most charges were dismissed due to double jeopardy, leaving him convicted only for four conspiracies. While he admitted guilt in some murders, he denied responsibility for all 13 alleged killings and did not cooperate with authorities. Scarpa expressed shock and frustration upon receiving the 40-year sentence after anticipating release after serving 11 years of his original term. He also described his transfer to the ADX supermax facility in Colorado, where he resigned to spending the rest of his life in prison. The interview sheds light on Scarpa’s extended incarceration and the harsh realities of his sentence.
