In a recent interview, wrestling veteran Devon Dudley shared heartfelt memories of Eddie Guerrero and reflected on the tragic Chris Benoit incident. Dudley recalled how Eddie, a born-again Christian, helped guide him back on track during difficult times. Upon hearing of Eddie’s sudden death at age 38 from heart failure, Dudley was overwhelmed with emotion, breaking down in tears.
Discussing Chris Benoit, whom he also knew well and respected for his toughness and dedication, Dudley expressed disbelief over the horrific double murder-suicide involving Benoit and his family. “It was hard to believe he did that,” Dudley admitted, recalling Benoit’s loving relationship with his son. Although Dudley hoped Benoit was framed, the lack of evidence forced him to accept the tragic reality. His candid reflections shed light on the deep personal impact these losses had within the wrestling community.
