Shortly after her arrest in connection to the murder of David Taylor, Gina Conway revealed she gave a recorded statement to authorities without being informed that it was officially recorded or that her rights were being read. Speaking with Vlad, Conway explained that unlike in Maryland—where statements are formalized with writing and signatures—New Jersey officers recorded her conversation without her knowledge or a Miranda warning. In her statement, Conway identified Calvin as the shooter and detailed the robbery, implicating Max B as the mastermind who orchestrated the plan and sent her to the hotel with Kelvin. At the time of her arrest, Conway was the only individual in custody. She expressed feeling that her constitutional rights were violated during the interrogation process, highlighting discrepancies in how suspects are informed of their rights across jurisdictions.
