Part 2: Tommy The Clown on How He Developed His Clown Character, Creating Dance Style "Clowning"

Thomas Johnson, better known as Tommy the Clown, shared his inspiring life story. Born in Detroit, Tommy moved to South Central Los Angeles at around age 10 during the early 1980s. Immersed in a dangerous environment, Tommy found himself involved in the drug trade as a teenager, despite never personally using. By 15 or 16, he had multiple run-ins with the law, resulting in about five years spent in youth detention facilities and county jail.
