Part 1: Swifty Blue on Getting Jumped into Eastside Paramount Gang While Living in Enemy Territory

--------

Swifty Blue opened up about how getting face tattoos marked a turning point in his life and career. Shortly after graduating high school and leaving juvenile hall, Swifty started working ordinary warehouse jobs but always dreamed of making music. Around 18 or 19, he got his first face tattoos, which became symbolic of his commitment to music and quitting the “regular lifestyle.” Swifty revealed that the tattoos brought “more tension," making privacy difficult as people constantly stared. Yet, this visible commitment pushed him to pursue music seriously, knowing he couldn’t easily go back to traditional jobs. By 2019, his hard work paid off with the release of his debut project "Grimey Gang," featuring his breakout track.
