YNW Melly will be making a return to court following a motion filed by his attorneys. The court date is set for August 18, and the reason for the motion is unknown at the moment.
News of this comes after he was revealed that a July 28 motion to re-depose Detective Mark Moretti was denied, with Judge Murphy saying, “Defendant has failed to show good cause for re-deposing Det. Mark Moretti.”
As of now, Melly’s retrial is set to begin on October 9, 2023. Stay tuned for more updates.
