Star athlete Sha’Carri Richardson has no issue with speaking on organizations and her experiences with them along her journey. Previously, Richardson spoke on the decision related to an Olympic doping scandal, noting the decision made in favor of a Russian figure skater who tested positive for a banned substance was hypocritical

Now, Richardson has briefly spoken on ESPN and the ESPYs Awards. Via Twitter, the track star wrote about the financial cost of participating in track and field, saying her profession only has organizations to exploit them, not help.

From there, Richardson shifted her focus to the ESPYs, saying, “The ESPYS invited me when my life was in shambles as if I was a charity case. The disrespect that track & field receives in the USA alone is nasty. Half of the athletes there now could not do what we do on our WORST day. #espys.” Take a look above.
