Previously, Afroman made headlines after the rapper revealed his home was raided by police in Ohio. He went on to claim money was stolen from his home during the situation and was ultimately sued by Ohio deputies who raided his home for putting them on video as well as merch from the incident. Now, the “Will You Help Me Repair My Door” artist noted he has his sights set on bigger endeavors, which include becoming President of the United States.

According to TMZ, Afroman filed paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission in order to run for president in 2024. Documents acquired by the outlet say the rapper’s committee is named “Joseph Afroman Foreman for President.” Along with that, the rapper is placing himself in the independent party.

Jason Savage, a campaign manager for Afroman issued a statement on the move, saying: “Afroman’s ongoing persecution by the overtly corrupt Adams County Sheriff’s Department perfectly highlights that this corruption of leadership has trickled down to law enforcement all across the country. Criminal Justice Reform and Federal Marijuana Legalization remain two of the primary planks in his campaign platform. We are asking for your support as Afroman takes on this great and worthy cause as our Cannabis Commander in Chief.” Stay tuned for more updates.
