Tom Brady's ascension from a sixth-round pick in the 2000 NFL Draft to seven-time Super Bowl Champion has been well-documented for the better two decades. However, as the legacy-building accolades continued to pile up during Tom Brady's late 30s, his wife, Gisele Bündchen, implored him to spend more time with his family year-round in lieu of continuing his football career. The discussion reportedly began in 2017 after her husband orchestrated the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history against the Atlanta Falcons. Ultimately, Brady continued to play the game he loved well into his mid-40s, contributing to his highly publicized divorce from one of the most successful supermodels of all time in late October. The five-time Super Bowl MVP put the finishing touches on his final NFL post-season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on January 16th. Now, rumors are circulating online that Brady played the 2022 NFL season after having been given an ultimatum by his ex-wife beforehand. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Gisele offered some clarity to the speculation.

"What’s been said is one piece of a much bigger puzzle," the 42-year-old explained. "It’s not so black and white...When you love someone, you don’t put them in a jail and say, 'You have to live this life.' You set them free to be who they are, and if you want to fly the same direction, then that’s amazing...We’re not playing against each other. We are a team ... and that’s beautiful. I look back, and I have no regrets. I loved every bit of it."
