Ja Morant recently faced controversy after he flashed a gun on camera while on Instagram Live. The Memphis Grizzlies star player was suspended indefinitely pending an investigation. Following that, it was revealed the NBA suspended Morant for “behavior detrimental to the league.” It was also revealed that Coca-Cola pulled Ja Morant’s Powerade advertisement following the incident

Since then, it was revealed Morant wasn’t the only one who lost out, as NLE Choppa was supposed to be a part of the ad. NLE Choppa’s song “Mo Up Front” was the soundtrack to the “What 50% More Means” campaign and was supposed to be in tune with the NCAA March Madness tournament. However, Morant’s gun-flashing incident caused the brand to back off and scrap the ad altogether.

It was noted by sources that spoke to TMZ that NLE Choppa and Morant are still friends despite the mishap and loss on their end. Stay tuned for more updates.
