More updates are coming in about the status of Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday (January 2).

The Bills provided an update on Friday (January 6), revealing that Hamlin's breathing tube was removed and he's breathing on his own. Damar also joined a Bills meeting via FaceTime, and head coach Sean McDermott told reporters that his teammates "stood up right away and clapped for him." Hamlin reportedly told his teammates, "Love you boys."

The team also announced on Friday that Hamlin would be placed on the injured reserve list, as doctors have said that he has a long road of recovery before he's back at full strength.
