Amid the uncertainty regarding Bills safety Damar Hamlin's health following his cardiac arrest during Monday (January 2) night's game against the Bengals, his rep revealed to CNN that he's awake.

Damar's agent, Rob Butler, told CNN on Thursday that Hamlin was awake and holding hands with family members after being sedated following his on-field collapse.

This comes after the Bills released a statement revealing that Damar was showing great improvement in the hospital. The statement reads, "Per the physicians caring for Damar Hamlin at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Damar has shown remarkable improvement over the past 24 hours. While still critically ill, he has demonstrated that he appears to be neurologically intact. His lungs continue to heal and he is making steady progress. We are grateful for the love and support we have received."
