R. Kelly has been facing more issues all while being locked up, as the history of the storied singer’s abuse against women continues to be revealed. In ‘Surviving R. Kelly: The Final Chapter,’ more stories about Kelly are set to be told, including an incident where an assault survivor says Kelly assaulted her after she discovered his Aaliyah sex tape.
Ebonié Doyle spoke with journalist Jim DeRogatis and detailed how she eventually became involved with Kelly. Doyle moved in with Kelly after her mother kicked her out for seeing the singer.
Doyle noted that Kelly denied claims of having a relationship with Aaliyah, but she discovered that wasn’t the truth after discovering VHS tapes. “I see this basket full of tapes, and I’m like, ‘Well, maybe I’ll just grab one of these tapes, and let me go in the other rooms and see if there’s a VHS so I can watch a movie,’ because I was bored. That’s when I discovered that he’d been lying to me about Aaliyah,” said Doyle.
The survivor confirmed what she saw: “The tape that I put in was of him and Aaliyah together. What I saw on that tape was he and Aaliyah being intimate. They were on the tour bus, and everything that I had asked him was confirmed on the tape.”
The final chapter of ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ is set to air on January 2nd and 3rd on Lifetime.
