Update 12/31/2022 4:27pm:

Doctor Angela Kogan and her lawyer asked for the lawsuit filed against her by 50 Cent to be tossed. However, the trial for the case was set for July 2023. Now, lawyers for Kogan say 50 Cent should be suing The Shade Room instead.

50 sued Kogan in September 2022 after claiming the owner of Perfection Plastic Surgery and MedSpa made claims that the rapper stopped by to receive a penile enhancement procedure. Notably, 50 posed with Kogan in a photo in exchange for services at the spa. However, 50 alleges the exchange did not have anything to do with penis enlargement.

Court documents that surfaced found lawyers for Kogan saying, “The Shade Room is the author of the Article, and pulled the Photo from Kogan’s social media without Kogan’s permission or consent. The Shade Room is the publisher of the Article, and Plaintiff has improperly applied the actions of The Shade Room to Defendant.” As previously mentioned by the judge in the case, if a settlement isn’t reached, both parties will be heading to trial in July 2023. Previously, a Florida doctor named Angela Kogan asked a judge to toss 50 Cent’s lawsuit against her out after she allegedly implied the rapper came to visit Perfection Plastic Surgery and MedSpa to receive a penile enhancement treatment. Now, a judge has denied the request, as the trial between 50 and Kogan has been set for July 2023.

A Florida judge scheduled the trial for July 3, 2023, and mediation between Kogan and 50 Cent must be completed by March 23, 2023. In court documents related to the case, Judge Robert Scola wrote: “The appearance of counsel and each party or representatives of each party with full authority to enter into a full and complete compromise and settlement is mandatory. If insurance is involved, an adjuster with authority up to the policy limits or the most recent demand, whichever is lower, must attend. All proceedings of the mediation will be confidential and privileged.”

Scola continued, saying, “If mediation is not conducted, the case may be stricken from the trial calendar, and other sanctions may be imposed.” Stay tuned for more updates.

50 Cent previously filed a lawsuit against a Florida doctor named Angela Kogan after she allegedly implied the rapper came to visit Perfection Plastic Surgery and MedSpa to get a penile enhancement treatment. Now, Kogan has asked a judge to drop the suit against her.

50’s suit claims he took a photo with her under the impression that the woman was a fan of his. However, the woman took the picture and used it to imply the rapper had been there to take advantage of one of the procedures.

Since then, Kogan asked the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Florida to dismiss the suit. Attorneys for Kogan said, “It is clear from the Photo itself that the taking thereof was not a random happenstance or unsolicited occasion. The content of the Photo shows [50 Cent] in [Kogan’s’] office, next to [Kogan] in her role as a businesswoman/aesthetician (i.e. in professional attire).”

They continued by saying, “The Photo is not representative of [50 Cent] running into a random fan in the middle of the street; rather, it specifically highlights [50 Cent] in a specific situation, for a specific purpose, in exchange of a specific transaction.” The amount 50 Cent is suing for has yet to be revealed.

According to TMZ, 50 Cent is suing plastic surgeon Angela Kogan and her businesses, Perfection Plastic Surgery and MedSpa for implying he had penis enhancement treatment after posting pictures of the hip-hop mogul to use as promo.

The lawsuit states that 50 Cent took a picture with Kogan in February 2020 under the impression that she was a fan. However, he claims she's used the picture to promote her products and services since taking the picture over two years ago.

A post from TheShadeRoom in August forced 50's hand after the media outlet shared the photo with Kogan along with the promo text about penis enhancement treatment. 50 says every time Kogan's services are posted accompanied with their photo together implies that he underwent a procedure which he says never happened. The lawsuit claims the picture is "exposing him to ridicule, damaging his professional and personal reputation and violating his right to control his name and image."
