Two Mondays ago marked the beginning of the highly publicized criminal trial of Tory Lanez in Los Angeles, California. The bizarre legal proceeding had several notable instances, including the disappearing act of Justin Edison, Megan Thee Stallion's bodyguard and a very crucial witness who went rogue before scheduled testimony in court, and Tory's decision to bring his son, Kai, with him to court every day. A Fair amount of Tory Lanez's family members were on hand for the trial at Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in downtown Los Angeles, including his father and stepmother, who were none too pleased with their son's guilty verdict, and Kathy Ta, the Deputy District Attorney to who they believe orchestrated the alleged screw job that landed him behind bars on Christmas Day.
To the satisfaction of many and the dismay of his supporters, Tory Lanez spent Christmas Day at the Men's Central jail in downtown Los Angeles. According to reports, the Canadian singer/rapper enjoyed a nice meal during his introductory weekend with the Los Angeles County Sheriffs. Along with his fellow inmates, the 30-year-old was presented with a tasty culinary list to choose from. The menu is said to have included turkey roast, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, dinner rolls, pumpkin muffins, and chocolate milk.
Tory Lanez faces up to 22 years in prison; his defense attorney, George Mgdesyan, is currently exploring several options to reverse his client's fortunes, including an appeal.
