According to reports, Kanye West has been dropped as a client at CAA. Along with that, a finished documentary about the rapper will be shelved following anti-semitic comments he previously made. The documentary announcement was made via a memo by MRC studio executives Asif Satchu, Scott Tenley, and Modi Wiczyk.

The memo noted there was a discussion with filmmakers and distribution partners, where they concluded they wouldn’t proceed with distribution for a finished Kanye documentary. The studio said they won’t support “any content that amplifies his platform.” Along with that, they wrote: “Kanye is a producer and sampler of music. Last week he sampled and remixed a classic tune that has charted for over 3,000 years — the lie that Jews are evil and conspire to control the world for their own gain.”

The studio concluded: “The silence from leaders and corporations when it comes to Kanye or antisemitism in general is dismaying but not surprising. What is new and sad is the fear Jews have about speaking out in their own defense.”

News of this comes after a hate group gathered in Los Angeles with banners in support of West’s anti-semitic comments.
