Young Thug was previously denied bond for the third time in his RICO case. Now, news surfaced noting a witness in the case has been put into protective custody.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, court documents leaked before Thugger’s bond hearing, noting a YSL member planned on cooperating with the law. The YSL member reportedly entered a plea agreement with prosecutors to give information on Young Thug’s role in YSL. News of this comes after alleged court documents leaked, claiming YSL Woody is the witness the documents reference.

Following the leak of the alleged court documents online suggesting the YSL member planned to tell, state prosecutors noted one of the co-defendants entered into protective custody. Following the leak, Fulton County prosecutor Don Geary asked that the judge in the case restrict more evidence after news of the informant in YSL surfaced via a tabloid, saying, “We found a lot of information concerning one of our witnesses on basically a (celebrity news) outlet.”

D.A. Fani Willis also requested the judge to ask lawyers to put a hold on sharing evidence with anyone except the defendants' legal teams. Willis said, “Since the date of those filings, however, information from the state’s discovery material has appeared on public websites. As a result, the state now has grave concerns about the safety of that named witness and other potential witnesses in this trial.”

Gunna’s attorney Kristen Novay fired back at the concerns for the safety of the witnesses, saying, “We want to know what specific threats there are. There have been many allegations that there are threats to witnesses, and to date, we have received no discovery, not a single shred of evidence from a witness who was actually threatened.” Stay tuned for more updates.
