Draymond Green recently took to his podcast to speak on Kevin Durant’s request to the Brooklyn Nets to be traded. Green went on to say, “People can’t accept the fact that athletes are now businessmen and no longer just playing basketball.” Since then, ESPN has provided constant coverage of Durant, and one segment on Sportscenter found anchors referring to Durant as “emotional.” Now, Draymond Green has seemingly come to the defense of Durant, calling out ESPN for their choice of words towards the superstar who is taking control of his future.
Via Twitter, Green called out one of the anchors by name, saying, “Just watched the anchor on Sportscenter with Nick Fredell discuss KD wanting a trade, and called him emotional.” Green then fired off his thoughts on the take from the anchor, saying, “Who are you to call someone emotional? What makes you comfortable? Talk BASKETBALL! Computers got y’all overly comfortable.” As of now, Durant is still a part of the Brooklyn Nets. Take a look above.
