It looks like Brittney Griner isn't the only national celebrity to be caught up in the recent wave of political crossfire between Russia and the U.S. According to reports, Europe's largest country has placed Morgan Freeman on a list that prohibits entry, due to accusations of displaying 'Anti-Russian' behavior.

The blacklist also includes the likes of Mark Zuckerberg, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Rob Reiner, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC). In a recent news release, Russia's Foreign Ministry department explained why they've chosen to blacklist about 1,000 Americans.

“In the context of responding to the constantly imposed anti-Russian sanctions by the United States and in connection with incoming requests about the personal composition of our national ‘stop list,’ the Russian Foreign Ministry publishes a list of American citizens who are permanently banned from entering the Russian Federation,” the statement reads. “We emphasize that the hostile actions taken by Washington, which boomerang against the United States itself, will continue to receive a proper rebuff. Russian counter-sanctions are forced and aimed at forcing the ruling American regime, which is trying to impose a neo-colonial 'rules-based world order' on the rest of the world, to change its behavior, recognizing new geopolitical realities.”

In addition to being an award-winning actor, Morgan Freeman is also a well-known political activist. It's believed that the 84-year-old's name was added to Russia's 'Stop List' because of his role in the creation of a video (Committee to Investigate Russia: War) that indicated they were illegally involved in the 2016 Presidental election that saw Donald Trump defeat Hillary Clinton.
