Martin Shkreli (aka Pharma bro) has been released from prison after serving the majority of a seven-year sentence for defrauding investors in two hedge funds on behalf of his former drug company, Retrophin.

On Wednesday, the 39-year-old was transferred from a correctional facility in Pennsylvania to a program similar to a halfway house, where he will remain until September 14th. Once Shkreli leaves the halfway house, he will be a free man again. But, because of the nature of the crimes that landed him behind bars, he will never be allowed to work with a pharmaceutical company again, nor can he preside over a public company.

Upon his release from prison, Shkreli took to Facebook to announce the news by posting a photo of himself along with a caption that read, "Getting out of real prison is easier than getting out of Twitter prison."

In addition to Shkreli's popular "Pharma bro" moniker, the former hedge fund manager is also famous for having purchased "One Upon a Time in Shaolin," a few years before his incarceration. But the government sold the coveted album by Wu-Tang Clan in order to satisfy a portion of a multi-million dollar debt that Shkreli owed them.
