Previously, Tom Brady announced he was coming out of his short-lived retirement to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a team he once played for. When he retired, Brady said, “I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.” Now, Peyton Manning has chimed in with his thoughts on Brady coming out of retirement, cracking jokes on the matter.

Recently, Peyton Manning appeared at an event hosted by the MINT Collective and spoke about a gift he sent Brady upon hearing about his retirement from the league. Manning said he sent a letter to Brady speaking on his retirement and a bottle of wine. The letter said, “Congratulations to my friend Tom on an unbelievable football career,’’ said Manning. To do it as long as he did, at the highest levels is absolutely incredible.”

While speaking to the host, Manning addressed Brady’s move to go back into the league, saying, “I want the letter back.” He continued saying, “You got to read all these nice things, I want it back. I want the bottle of wine back, too.” When both players were in the league, they were pitted as rivals in the conversation of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Take a look above.
