In February 2022, Tom Brady officially announced his retirement from the NFL. The player went on to say “I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.” Now, Brady has revealed that he is making a comeback to the NFL.

Brady took to Twitter to make the announcement, saying “These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands.” He continued saying “That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG.”

Reports noted that Brady will be turning 45-years-old ahead of the beginning of the 2022 season. When speaking about the return of Brady, head coach Bruce Arians said “Total excitement,” according to Ian Rapoport. Take a look at Brady’s full announcement above.
