'Tis the season for sharing and holiday cheer. But when it comes to his friends and family, rapper Fetty Wap has always had a charitable mindset. In a recent interview with Akademiks, the Grammy-nominated recording artist shared a story with his fellow New Jersey native about the time that he purchased 72 cars for his loved ones.
A story that's become somewhat of an urban legend in their hometown, the 30-year-old interviewee went on to clarify that the purchases didn't all happen at once, but the giveaways all started shortly after he signed his first record deal.
"At that time...I just wanted everybody to be happy," said the Trap Queen singer. "I felt like I had to show people...just because I made it, doesn't mean you didn't."
This news comes one week after, Fetty Wap was arrested at Newark Liberty airport when the local authorities received an alert from his ankle bracelet.
