Update 12/08/2021 1:41am:

The divorce between Stevie J and Faith Evans appears to be proceeding and the songstress has responded to her husband's request for spousal support by asking the presiding judge to deny the request.

According to the Florida News-Times, Evans is seeking “all property acquired before marriage, by gifts, inheritance, or ingenuity, and after the date of separation” in addition to denying the spousal assistance request. Court documents reveal that Evans dated their separation as far back as May 2020 while Stevie J has their separation dated as of October 19, 2021. Evans is not looking for spousal support from Stevie J.

After much speculation, it appears that Stevie J and Faith Evans are moving forward with their divorce, as legal documents obtained by The Blast show that Stevie J has requested spousal support from Faith.

In the documents, Stevie stated that he and Faith had been separated since Oct. 19, 2021, and he cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind their split. In addition to requesting spousal support, Stevie J reportedly wants Evans to pay his legal fees and he also asked to "terminate the court’s ability to award support to (Evans)."

This comes after Stevie accused Faith of cheating on him and later apologizing. Last month, Stevie addressed his accusations against Faith, telling viewers, "Happy holidays everybody, I'd like to make this video for my wife. A video was released last week and it showed me talking crazy to my wife, publicly humiliating my wife. I'd like to apologize and say sorry that I would allow someone to come in my home and steal a computer and be able to do that to us."

Faith also shared photos of her and Stevie looking happy at the beach, leading many to believe that they had called off their divorce.
