On Wednesday (November 24), Yo Gotti revealed that he's pushing back the release date of his double-disc album, CM10: Free Game, which was supposed to drop this Friday. Yo Gotti shared a message on Instagram, which read, "#CM10 Still Loading…. NEW DATE. Stay Tuned."
This comes amid the news of fellow Memphis rapper Young Dolph's tragic death last week. Yo Gotti and Dolph were longtime hometown rivals, but Yo Gotti told The Breakfast Club in 2017 that he doesn't understand where the rivalry stems from.
Yo Gotti stated, "We never touched each other ever in life, we never exchanged no money ever in life. The fact is, I’m the biggest rapper from Memphis, I help a lot of rappers from Memphis. I don’t know, I can’t really think about what it is." Yo Gotti then told the hosts that he sent Dolph an encouraging text that read, "You in a good space in Memphis but you gotta take that s**t from there to the world and it’s gon’ turn into money. I like your grind my n***a; when I was in your position, none of them n***** as who could’ve helped me did."
Following Dolph's death, Memphis police stood guard outside of Prive restaurant, which is owned by Yo Gotti, as they feared retaliation shootings. There has been no connection to Yo Gotti in Dolph's murder.
