In 2020, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson tested positive for COVID-19. Recently, it was revealed that Jackson tested positive for COVID again and recently returned to practice after a 10-day quarantine required by the NFL for unvaccinated players who test positive for the virus. Now, Jackson has revealed he’s unsure about getting the COVID-19 vaccine despite getting COVID twice.

When asked about his choice to get the vaccine, Jackson said, “I just got off the Covid list. I got to talk to my team about this and see how they feel about it. Keep learning as much as I can about it. We’ll go from there.” He continued, saying, “We’ll see. Talking to the doctors. We’ll see.”

Jackson noted that he isn’t worried about the long-term effects that could come from him getting COVID. Jackson went on to say, “I feel it’s a personal decision. I’m just going to keep my feelings to my family and myself. I’m focused on getting better right now. I can’t dwell on that right now ... how everybody else feels. Just trying to get back to the right routine.” As of now, the NFL doesn’t require players to get vaccinated, but the players are reportedly under strict protocols like wearing masks at all times. Along with that, teams that can’t play due to a coronavirus outbreak among unvaccinated players might have to forfeit games. Stay tuned for more updates.
