Reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson has tested positive for COVID-19. The news broke on Thursday after the Thanksgiving Day game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers was rescheduled for Sunday due to coronavirus precautions.

Jackson now finds himself on the Ravens' Reserve/COVID list along with "Running backs Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins, defensive tackle Brandon Williams, outside linebacker Pernell McPhee, defensive ends Calais Campbell and Jihad Ward, offensive linemen Matt Skura and Patrick Mekari." The positive COVID diagnosis also means that it is unlikely Jackson will be at the helm until Dec. 14 against the Cleveland Browns.

The former Heisman-trophy winner is backed up by another Heisman award winner in Robert Griffin III, who is likely to take over in Jackson's absence.
