Police have arrested and charged Atlanta rapper Dae Dae with aggravated assault for allegedly stabbing a teen employee at Dunkin' Donuts in 2020. The rapper is accused of stabbing the female employee over an argument regarding an unavailable item that he wanted.

"The crazy thing about the entire exchange is that, I believe that he wanted a certain type of donut, or donuts, and they did not have those donuts, apparently," said Kamau Mason, the victim's attorney.

The 29-year-old rapper, whose real name is Marquavis Goolsby, was identified as the suspect after police reviewed cell phone and surveillance footage. The victim's attorney added that the stabbing wound in her left arm and entire altercation left the teen fearful and shaken.

"He has what appears to be a butcher knife, and he's not just slashing, he's making stabbing motions, you know, and looking at it, that was the part of it that was most troubling to me, he could have easily taken her life," Mason said. "Through the grace of God, she was able to survive that encounter."

Dae Dae maintained his innocence and claimed he was being framed when he posted his arrest. In the video, he surrendered to the police at the front door of his residence without any issue.

"DEY SLANDER MY 6OY NAME ITS FRAME FAKE NEWS YU F***** DUCCS DONT WORRY 6AE," Dae Dae wrote. "I GOT THIS TILL YU GET 6ACC#FRAMED."

The victim's family also released a statement on the incident and said, "We thank God that our angel was able to survive the attack. No young lady should have to go through such an ordeal either at home, school or work. Our girls need our protection, our support and our love. We pray that the union city police apprehend her attacker and that justice is served. Please keep us in your prayers."
