Former Bad Boy artist Black Rob was laid to rest on Friday, at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Harlem. During the funeral service, various friends, family, and Bad Boy alumni offered kind words about the late rapper.

Days before Black Rob's death, people questioned Diddy after his former artist was seen in poor health and revealed he was homeless. Despite former peers defending the rap mogul, others such as Black Rob's manager called Diddy out for a perceived lack of support.

During the funeral, Black Rob's children and close family were encouraged to speak on the "Whoa" rapper before a man from the community, named Pete, took the stage and said the wrong people were being thanked before defending Diddy.

"Also, when you talk about Puff Daddy -- [Black Rob] needed medical help, Puff got him the best doctors, he got him the best everything. The best hotels, anything he wanted. He been there from zero day," the man said. "Puff always been there. So shame on y'all if y'all in there talking bad about him. He always helped Rob. Even when we done already -- Rob done blew through the money like, 'Rob, how you went through all this money?' 'I don't know but call Puff.' Alright? We love y'all."

Pete received applause from the audience before asking everyone to stand up, including Bad Boy members who were true friends and support systems to Rob.

Black Rob died from kidney failure and cardiac arrest at the age of 52.
