In the latest clip, LA Reid spoke on his tenure at Def Jam after exiting Arista. The music executive described his successful run at the legendary Hip Hop label as he signed top acts such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Nas, Ne-Yo, Young Jeezy, and Fabolous. Reid also spoke on his role in Mariah Carey and Kanye West's career as he helped guide Mariah Carey's comeback album and West's path to becoming a global icon. He also acknowledged Jay-Z's role as President of Def Jam and noted that the rap star became the most celebrated Black businessman after his time at the company.
