During the most recent streaming episode of No Jumper, Adam22 called up Lil Yachty to chop it up about new projects he's working on, and during the conversation, Yachty admitted that he doesn't like people criticizing him about the music he makes. Yachty went on to speak about the new style of rap coming out of Michigan and people criticizing him for rapping offbeat, which he explained is intentional.
Elsewhere in the interview, Adam's co-host AD asked Yachty if he's still cool with Lil Yachty, and he seemingly said they weren't. Later, Adam alluded to their fallout resulting in Uzi and City Girls rapper JT going public with their relationship.
After being released from prison in 2019, JT revealed that she and Lil Yachty were dating before she was locked up, and she added that Yachty cheated on her. In 2020, Uzi seemingly called out Yachty for the incident, tweeting, "@lilyachty wya you know what u did in 2018." Yachty then responded, "What I do?," to which Uzi simply stated, "JT."
