Update 01/25/2021 11:03am:

Previously, Kodak Black made headlines after a tweet he sent about donating $1 million to charity if he was freed from prison was deleted. Many questioned the sincerity of the rapper’s pledge, especially with the tweet’s disappearance. Now, Kodak Black’s lawyer—Bradford Cohen, has addressed the situation.

Cohen issued a statement on the matter, saying, “A statement promising something for something in exchange is not appropriate and although Kodak has always given to charity his whole career and will continue to do charity, not in exchange for anything. Some think this is a story. It isn't."

The lawyer then continued to shift the focus, saying, “Instead of harping on a young black man and how much charity he does, why don't we take a look at the amount of charity the writers of these articles do? Last week, Kodak pledged $100k to setting up a scholarship fund in the name of Meadow Pollack. The week before, he donated $50k to barstool fund to help small businesses. That's $150k and he's been out 5 days."

In November 2020, Kodak Black was going through the motions of being in prison, taking to social media to plea for ways to be released from prison while his team worked on the matter. During one of his tweeting sprees, the rapper noted that he would spend $1 million on charity within the first year of him being out if freed by Trump. Since then, the rapper was released from prison via a pardon from Trump before the disgraced president left office.

Despite Trump pardoning the rapper two months after he made the $1 million pledge, it seems Kodak’s pledge online hasn’t held up as the rapper deleted the tweet. Kodak Black is reportedly still facing 30 years in state prison despite the pardon from Trump. Take a look at Kodak's tweet above.
