Just last week, Trump incited a large group of his supporters to storm the U.S. Capitol building, which allegedly served as an attempt to stop the transfer of power to president-elect Joe Biden. The riots and invasion of the capitol building resulted in the death of numerous people. The FBI has made it clear since then that they are on a “manhunt” for all the individuals who participated in the riots. Now, one of the people who were arrested for their alleged involvement in the riots is a social media personality who goes by ‘Baked Alaska.’

According to AP, far-right social media personality Tim Gionet, aka “Baked Alaska,” was arrested on January 16 in Houston, Texas, by federal agents for Capitol siege. The news was confirmed by law enforcement officials, and it was noted that the former Buzzfeed employee was arrested after he shared footage that showed Trump supporters in MAGA hats taking selfies with officers in the capitol building. In the footage, the officers can be heard asking the rioters to leave the premises. The rioters can be heard in the footage saying, “this is only the beginning,” before they started laughing.

Gionet was charged with intent to impeded, disrupt, or disturb the orderly conduct of a session of Congress. Stay tuned for more updates.
