Two Capitol Police officers were suspended for their alleged roles in last week's insurrection at the United States Capitol building.

"I know that there were two people that were suspended. One was the selfie officer and another was an officer that put a MAGA hat on that started directing some people around," said Rep. Tim Ryan, who is chair of the House Appropriations subcommittee handling the investigation into the police response to the Capitol attack.

According to Ryan, 10 to 15 officers are under investigation for their actions, or lack thereof, during the riot. While the two suspended officers are yet to be identified, one of them went viral by taking a selfie with the rioters. In the above clip, the officer is in a yellow vest and a black cap pausing to pose for a photo with one of the men who stormed into the Capitol.

As previously reported, the FBI is currently investigating if the attack on the Capitol building was an inside job after images surfaced of police officers opening gates and removing barricades. Some of these officers may face charges related to threats and menacing against Congress because the House and Senate were still in session when the rioters got into the building.
