In the latest clip, Doctor Dre detailed how he was one of the great connectors in Hip Hop. The former MTV VJ explained how he was the one who connected Ice Cube with Public Enemy's Bomb Squad for Cube's debut solo album. Dre also revealed that Public Enemy got its record with Def Jam through him.
Doctor Dre also described how "Yo! MTV Raps" was "the great healer in Hip Hop." According to the radio personality, the show was able to bring peace to various rap beefs. He also described how the final episode of the show was able to bring many rappers together who previously weren't on friendly terms. Doctor Dre also claimed that 2Pac and Biggie would still be alive if "Yo! MTV Raps" was never canceled.
