More information is being revealed about Kyle Howard Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old who was arrested after allegedly killing two people and wounding one other during the ongoing Jacob Blake protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Buzzfeed recently revealed that Rittenhouse was a big Trump supporter, sitting front row at the President's rally in Iowa in January. Rittenhouse's social media is also filled with "Blue Lives Matter" posts, photos of him posing with weapons, and posts supporting Trump as president. The Grayslake Police Department in Illinois also confirmed to Buzzfeed that Rittenhouse was a former member of the Lindenhurst, Grayslake, Hainesville Police Department's Public Safety Cadet Program. The program offers young people a closer look at a career in law enforcement and allows them to attend ride alongs and receive firearm training.
Court records show Rittenhouse appeared at Lake County Circuit Court on Wednesday and will appear in court again on Friday (August 28) for an extradition hearing.
