According to reports, one of the officers involved in the Breonna Taylor murder—Brett Hankison was fired from the LMPD for ”blindly” firing ten rounds into the apartment of Taylor.

The news was revealed by Mayor Greg Fischer, who noted the Louisville Metro Police Department was initiating the firing of the disgraced officer.

The LMPD Interim Chief—Robert Schroeder wrote a statement on the matter to Hankison, saying, “I find your conduct a shock to the conscience. I am alarmed and stunned you used deadly force in this fashion. The result of your action seriously impedes the Department's goal of providing the citizens of our city with the most professional law enforcement agency possible. I cannot tolerate this type of conduct by any member of the Louisville Metro Police Department. Your conduct demands your termination."

It was noted that Schroeder was accused of violating policies on “obedience to rules and regulations and use of deadly force.” The other two police officers involved in the shooting are still on administrative reassignment. Stay tuned for more updates.
