Chicago is reportedly one of the cities in America that was hit hard by the coronavirus. However, that allegedly didn’t stop almost 1,000 people from heading to a house party on the west side of Chicago. The video footage that surfaced showed many people packed into a living room, partying, and smoking while loud music plays. One of the guests who allegedly attended the party spoke to MediaTakeOut and said “[There] were about 1,000 people in the yard and in the house. It was really crowded and hot. I'm not worried about [the coronavirus] . . . but if I didn't have it before, I probably got it now. Oh well."
Many have been trying to keep the morale high in Chicago despite the circumstances surrounding the coronavirus, with rappers like Lil Durk sending free meals to health care and hospital workers on the frontline against COVID-19.
