The coronavirus hit many cities in the United States hard, with various hospitals being fully housed with patients who were exposed to the virus. While all of this is happening, many people have been paying attention to the well-being of the hospital and healthcare workers in theses spaces, who are considered to be on the “frontline” of the epidemic. Now, Lil Durk has taken to a Chicago hospital to take care of some of these workers to show his appreciation for their courage.

The rapper doesn’t live in Chicago anymore, but he made his way to the Rush Hospital this past Friday to give out meals free of charge to healthcare workers. Durk spoke on the matter, saying “Everyone back home has been in my thoughts, especially those doing something for the community and all the neighborhood heroes. I thought about all the first responders putting their lives on the line to help out and it inspired me, so I took a jet back to Chicago to show my thanks."

Dark and his team brought boxed meals from his manager’s company PHLAVZ, and the rapper reportedly had 100 meals ready for hospital workers to get on Friday night.
