After being arrested on weapons charges at Rolling Loud, Kodak Black was being held on $500,000 bond, which was appealed by the government due to another case he's fighting where he's accused of raping a teenage girl. According to documents obtained by Complex, a judge decided that Kodak will remain behind bars until the weapons case is sorted, with his earliest release slated for May 29. A trial in Kodak's weapons case is scheduled to begin on June 24. 

This comes after Kodak's lawyer, Michael P. McManus asked for 24-hour supervision instead of bond, writing, "My company is willing and able to escort and transport him back to the Southern District of Florida should the State of South Carolina subsequently release [Kodak] for home confinement within the Southern District of Florida pursuant to pre-trial release ordered by this court," he wrote.

According to ABC News, Kodak Black appeared in court on Wednesday (May 15), where he pled guilty to federal and state weapons charges. 

While U.S. Magistrate Judge Edwin Torres has allowed the rapper to be released on a $500,000 bond, Kodak was on bail for sexual assault charges when he was arrested in Miami over the weekend. As a result, 12th Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements filed a motion on Wednesday that revoked the rapper's bond in connection to the 2016 charges. Clements said a detainer hold will be placed on Kodak once he's released from jail in Florida. 

Kodak is being accused of falsifying federal forms to purchase weapons at Lou's Police Distributors in Hialeah, Florida on two different occasions. One of the weapons bought by Kodak was left at the scene of a recent shooting in Pompano Beach, Florida, according to the Sun Sentinel. He faces 10 years if convicted of the charges. 

In addition to the charges from his Miami arrest and the upcoming sexual assault trial, Kodak is also facing charges after he was recently stopped at the U.S./Canada border. Police found guns and drugs in the vehicle Kodak was reportedly driving. He is still awaiting trial for those charges.
